The Closing Ceremony
In order to provide in-service educational training program for teaching geography in Malaysia, the Overseas Community Affairs Council organized "106 Educational Training Program for Teaching Geography in Malaysia" at National Taiwan Normal University Extension, School of Continuing Education from December 5 to December 23. 40 geography teachers from Malaysia joined this program to improve their professional knowledge and teaching skills.

The training program consists of Astronomy, The Issue Skills, School Based Curriculum Development, Data Collection of Malaysia. In addition, local geography teachers at high schools were invited to share their teaching experiences.In addition to academic courses, this program also allowed participants to experience the diversity of Taiwanese culture and history by visiting a secondary school, the 921 Earthquake Museum, Guandu Nature Park, and Paper Dome.

The OCAC hopes that the participants will apply the acquired knowledge and teaching skills to their classes in Malaysia and envision multicultural society worldwide.
