The 2026 FASCA Southern USA New Member Training took place on August 8–9 at the Houston Culture Center, bringing together 76 participants from the Houston, Dallas, and Austin chapters for the region's first collaboratively organized training. Over two intensive days, the curriculum aimed to deepen cultural identity while cultivating teamwork and leadership skills. At the August 9 graduation ceremony, TECO Director General Yih-Fang Hsiao praised the trainees' active engagement and encouraged them to translate their learning into action by sharing Taiwanese culture across local Texas communities.

Focused on cultural heritage, leadership development, community outreach, and advocacy, the workshops featured expert-led sessions and interactive Taiwanese pop dance activities. Senior FASCA members served as emcees and teaching assistants, guiding new recruits through team-building exercises and embodying the spirit of peer leadership. Senior members highlighted the value of these interactive experiences in building strong community bonds, expressing enthusiasm for expanding future team-bonding initiatives to empower the next generation of cultural ambassadors.
