On May 16, the FASCA Sydney Chapter hosted an engaging cultural workshop at the Culture Center of TECO in Sydney, bringing together around 25 senior and new members along with mentors to explore Taiwanese heritage and engineering aesthetics. Director Chiang of the Culture Center welcomed the participants, encouraging the youth volunteers to build cultural knowledge and leadership skills for future community service. Under the guidance of cultural instructor and mentor, who highlighted the architectural marvel of Taiwan's newly opened Tamsui Cable-Stayed Bridge, the members created handmade bridge models, experiencing a practical, hands-on STEAM lesson in structural tension, symmetry, and balance. The event concluded on a high note with a vibrant " Santaitz " folk dance led by members in traditional costumes, a dynamic performance that perfectly combined traditional temple culture with modern music, leaving the members inspired to bridge communities and promote Taiwanese culture in Australia.
