On May 16, the FASCA Brisbane Chapter hosted an immersive training workshop titled "Shake Your Tea! Taiwanese Tea Culture Experience" at the Queensland Taiwan Centre, gathering nearly 40 participants, including members, parents, and mentors. Directed by John Hsu of the Queensland Taiwan Centre, the event featured a professional team from the local "Orange Tea" shop, an i-Compatriot Card partner store, to guide members through Taiwan's globally renowned tea culture. Following insightful members presentations on the history of Taiwanese tea and a brand lecture by instructor Jeff Chuang on the globalization of bubble tea, the youth ambassadors engaged in a sensory exploration of four major tea categories. The workshop culminated in a dynamic, hands-on DIY session where members learned professional shaking techniques to craft their own passion fruit green tea and oolong lattes, successfully deepening their connection to Taiwan's culinary heritage while brewing a fresh wave of cultural enthusiasm in Brisbane.
