On December 13, 2025, the Taiwanese Chamber of Commerce in Orange County, in collaboration with its Junior Chamber (TJCCOC), co-hosted a holiday celebration at the Crowne Plaza Costa Mesa Orange County. The event brought together many Asia-Pacific business associations and community groups from Southern California, attracting over a hundred young entrepreneurs, business founders, and professionals. The cross-cultural exchange and interaction helped participants expand their networks and explore new business opportunities.
Director Beyru Shiau of the Culture Center of Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Los Angeles (Santa Ana) noted that the event enhanced Taiwan's visibility by fostering deeper ties between compatriots overseas and the local community. She presented the Overseas Community Affairs Council's "Discovering Formosa Through the Overseas Lens" calendar of 2026, showcasing Taiwan's scenic beauty. She also promoted the OCAC's i-Compatriot Card, encouraging overseas Taiwanese businesses to join as partner stores and further strengthen Taiwan–U.S. business ties.
A panel discussion was held on the day, featuring clinical psychologist and entrepreneur Dr. Kaitlyn Kuo and Christopher Lee, author of The 5 Elements of Professional Networking. The two experts shared insights on topics including work–life balance, meaningful approaches to stress, mental health, and professional networking. In addition, the organizer partnered with Irvine's charitable organization, the Irvine 2/11 Adoption Committee, to collect around 100 children's toys for the families of the U.S. Marine Corps 2nd Battalion, 11th Marines (2/11 Marines). This initiative brought warmth and goodwill during the winter season, reflecting the Taiwanese American community's strong spirit of public service.
President Amy Hu of the Taiwanese Junior Chamber of Commerce in Orange County (TJCCOC) expressed her appreciation to the OCAC and all participants for their support in making the event a success. She noted that in 2026, TJCCOC will continue to organize meaningful programs and deepen engagement with local professional associations, business platforms, and ethnic community groups. She also looks forward to welcoming new members to the chamber and working together toward a shared and prosperous future.
