On March 8, the Boston chapter held its March spring monthly meeting at the Culture Center. Led by President Sophia Kao and Co-Presidents Abby Kao and Ben Lu, the meeting focused on upcoming community initiatives, including cultural promotion in Belmont, mainstream community visits, and ongoing online English exchanges with students in Taiwan.
A highlight of the event was a keynote sharing session by former chapter president Anthony Lu, an incoming freshman at Johns Hopkins University. Lu shared valuable college application insights, emphasizing the importance of self-discovery and the ability to tell one's unique story as keys to success. He engaged members in "brainstorming" and "rapid-fire Q&A" sessions to sharpen their self-presentation skills.
Director Kao of the Culture Center of TECRO in Boston, praised the spirit of mentorship and presented students with "Year of the Horse" lucky bags from Taiwan's Presidential Office, wishing them success in the new year. Participants noted that the skills learned—ranging from self-marketing to community engagement—are invaluable for both academic pursuits and daily life.
