The Thai-Taiwan Business Association Youth League (TTBAY), organized a highly successful International Business Matching Symposium on November 13, with the guidance of the Expatriate Division of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Thailand and the Thai-Taiwan Business Association (TTBA). The event was held at the Taiwanese-brand Evergreen Laurel Hotel Bangkok. Deputy Chief Chao-feng Chen and Secretary Shu-ya Huang of the Expatriate Division, along with Vice Presidents Lu-yi Huang and Yu-xin Lin of the TTBA attended the seminar to offer their support and encouragement.
The overseas entrepreneurs and expatriate executives in Thailand have a long history of supporting each other. However, there have been limited opportunities for exchange with local Thai junior chamber of commerce and other foreign enterprises. This gap inspired the organization of the business matching event. Participants included second and third generation Taiwanese entrepreneurs in Thailand, as well as members from the junior chamber of commerce in the United States, Australia, Germany, Norway, Singapore, the United Kingdom, Ireland, and Thailand. This event strengthened the connections between overseas Taiwanese and the chambers of commerce from various countries based in Thailand, and also contributed to the expansion of public diplomacy in Thailand.
Before the event, the TTBAY gathered information in advance about the backgrounds, countries, and industries of the participants. In the evening of the event, the members were introduced to each other through games and drawing of lots, exchanged business cards, and shared presentations, which deepened the ties between the Taiwanese entrepreneurs and foreign investment companies.
The TTBAY spread its youthful and lively spirit throughout the event, leaving a deep impression on the participants from all over the world. The members promoted Taiwanese culture and entrepreneurship, while also fostering business connections and participating in business matching with foreign counterparts. Some successfully sought employment or talent, while others formed cross-cultural, cross-industry alliances. The symposium concluded with a delightful meal of Taiwanese delicacies at the Evergreen Laurel Hotel in Bangkok.
