The 3rd Taiwan Prime Award Ceremony was grandly held on September 24, featuring an awards presentation and networking dinner. This year, 11 Taiwanese businesses from Thailand, Vietnam, and the United States stood out with 12 high-quality products, including 5 Gold Awards and 7 Silver Awards. Amid the enthusiastic applause and cheers from distinguished guests, the winners walked the red carpet. Notable attendees included the Overseas Community Affairs Council (OCAC) Minister Chia-ching Hsu, the Ministry of Economic Affairs' International Trade Administration Secretary General Amelia W. J. Day, Taiwan External Trade Development Council Executive VP Joe Chou, Commercial Development Research Institute Chairman Hsu Tain-tsair, World Taiwanese Chambers of Commerce President-Elect Kenneth Wu, and the Global Federation of Chinese Business Women First Vice President Shu-min Lin, all of whom congratulated and recognized the R&D and innovation capabilities of overseas Taiwanese businesses.

Minister Hsu congratulated all the winners, noting, "From the many competing products, it is evident that each Taiwanese overseas business is actively developing new goods, not only driving new consumption but also creating new markets!" She praised each product for its unique features and significant market presence.

This year's selection expanded the product categories from 3 to 11, attracting Taiwanese businesses from around the globe. Categories included software, precision instruments, medical and health equipment, and green energy products/equipment and components. Hsu noted that many overseas Taiwanese businesses are tapping into trends in digital application development and international sustainability, with many products entered that utilize AI technology and circular sustainability concepts—an initiative that the OCAC fully supports.

Hsu also mentioned that the council is actively assisting overseas Taiwanese businesses with industrial upgrading and transformation while encouraging the creation of original brands, moving beyond merely being OEMs and earning 3-4% gross margins. Therefore, in 2021, the first "Taiwan Prime Award" was held. Starting from the previous session, the event is now held every two years to strengthen the guidance and marketing support provided to award-winning businesses, integrating resources from industry, government, academia, and the overseas community, allowing "Made by Taiwan" to be recognized worldwide.

This year's Gold Award-winning products included "AI-ALPR," an AI license plate recognition software by FETC International (Thailand) Co., Ltd., " W3-II Full Shell Air Walker " by M2 Global Co., Ltd., a "Custom Kitchen Cabinet System" designed using an AI platform by Siam Art Marble Co., Ltd., and a fully automated multifunctional beverage vending machine by U.S.-based Yo-Kai Express Inc., capable of brewing Taiwan's iconic bubble tea in just one minute, along with the AX48 wall-mounted AC charging station developed by Zerova Technologies USA LLC., featuring WiFi and OTA upgrade functions.

The Silver Award-winning products included the Taiwan Blue Magpie - Low Rail Satellite Radar Mount Kit by Advance Die-Casting Industry Co., Ltd., the NURO-822E Edge AI Workstation and PNSR-5000 1U Network Appliance—both from American Portwell Technology, Inc., as well as the Mobo Triton recreational tricycle from ASA Products Inc. in Los Angeles, the 621061 / 621085 eco-friendly dental floss series from Brightworks Productd Inc. in Chicago, outdoor jackets from Landway International Corp. in San Francisco, and the Wabi LED UV smart disinfection and drying machine WA-9940L from Houston-based Wowkido, LLC., dba Wabi Baby.
