Taipei, June 9 (CNA) A second round of free health check-ups for migrant workers will be held at Taipei Main Station on June 14, the Taipei City Government's Department of Labor said Tuesday.
The check-ups will run from 12:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. in the station's main hall and will include general health screenings as well as consultations in dentistry, ear, nose and throat issues, internal medicine, gynecology, psychiatry and traditional Chinese medicine, the department said.
In addition to medical services, information on healthcare resources and living in Taiwan will be available at the venue. To encourage participation, the first 20 workers to complete the check-up will receive a voucher for a 15-minute massage by a blind massage therapist, the department said.
The department reminded migrant workers to bring their Alien Resident Certificate and National Health Insurance card.
The event is the second of four free health check-up sessions planned this year. The city is partnering with the Tzu Chi International Medical Association for the second consecutive event, according to the department.
The remaining two sessions are scheduled for Aug. 16 and Oct. 4. The department urged employers and labor brokers to share the information with migrant workers and encourage them to take advantage of the free health services.
