Taipei, Dec. 20 (CNA) Seven international marching bands joined 48 local counterparts on Saturday to celebrate the second day of the 2025 Chiayi City International Band Festival.

A total of 55 bands played their instruments and performed as they marched along Zhongshan Road from Chiayi City's Fountain Circle to the Kano Baseball Park.

Speaking with the press on Saturday, Chiayi Mayor Huang Min-hui (黃敏惠) said having marching bands take to the city was a great way to honor the festival and the beauty of music.

The 33rd edition of the festival runs from Dec. 19 to Jan. 1, 2026.
