The Overseas Community Affairs Council (OCAC) has initiated the Global Overseas Compatriot Service Digital Platform program to enhance its contact with overseas compatriots as well as to better its service to them. By using the free cross-border contact characteristic of LINE, the program seeks to provide overseas compatriots a convenient single contact window. The OCAC has established a LINE switchboard and 38 LINE accounts for its overseas offices, by using sound, graphics and images, the OCAC will swiftly handle and respond to overseas compatriots' enquiries, requests and suggestions through the 39 LINE accounts. As a result, overseas compatriots will be linked to Taiwan through the platform. The program will then bring overseas compatriots together and make Taiwan stronger.
Program aim: by using the free cross-border contact characteristic of LINE to provide overseas compatriots a convenient single contact window ; to enhance the OCAC's contact with overseas compatriots as well as to bring them together and make Taiwan stronger.
Service hours: the working time of the OCAC LINE switchboard and the 37 LINE accounts for the OCAC's overseas compatriot affairs offices (please see the digital name cards)
Enquiries, requests and suggestions related to general issues will be handled and responded by the OCAC Line switchboard.
Enquiries, requests and suggestions related to individual and local issues will be handled and responded by overseas compatriot affairs offices.
All the enquiries, requests and suggestions received from the digital platform will be handled and responded through the digital switchboard as soon as possible.
The OCAC encourages overseas compatriots to join the platform by scanning the QR-Code to become a LINE friend and make enquiries, requests or suggestions through the LINE special line when needed.
