You can now apply for the Overseas Compatriot Identity Certificate for Military Service in Kaohsiung — no need to travel far! 
Applicants may choose one of the following methods to receive the certificate:
1.Digital Certificate: Processing time: half a working day.
2.Paper Certificate:
(1) Collection at the OCAC Southern Taiwan Certification Service Station: approximately 3.5 working days.
The certificate will be mailed by the OCAC Taipei Office to the Southern Taiwan Certification Service Station.
(2) Collection at the OCAC Certification Service Counter in Taipei: approximately 0.5 working day.

The certificate may be collected by an authorized representative. The representative must present the original copy of his or her identity document.
(3) Delivery by express registered mail at the applicant’s expense: approximately 3.5 working days. 
The OCAC will mail the certificate to a designated address in Taiwan.
