The original mechanism for retaining overseas compatriot students used salary as the single review criteria. To respond to the needs of different industries and changes in the industrial environment and strengthen work regarding retention of outstanding overseas compatriot students, the Ministry of Labor announced the Scoring Criteria System on July 3, 2014.
