The Delegation of "Chinese Consolidated Benevolent Association (CCBA)", which included 37 compatriots, visited Taiwan from October 28 to November 2, 2024.
During their visit, the delegation, composed entirely of community leaders from the New York metropolitan area, met with Vice President Hsiao, Bi-Khim, Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Chen, Li-Kuo, Minister of the Overseas Community Affairs Council Hsu, Chia-Ching, and Mayor of Taipei City Chiang, Wan-An.
Since its establishment in 1883, the CCBA has been dedicated to promoting and preserving the values of freedom and democracy. The delegation expressed their steadfast support for the R.O.C. (Taiwan), and they exchanged opinions on several topics related to human rights, international economic order, and housing justice.
Beyond their official engagements, the delegation also traveled to Taoyuan City, Taichung City, Chiayi City, and Tainan City. Although the original itinerary was affected by Typhoon Kong-rey, the delegation was impressed by Taiwan's disaster response capabilities and the government's rigorous typhoon prevention measures. Through this long-awaited trip, the delegation gained further insights into Taiwan’s economic growth and friendly multicultural environment.
