Russian drones and missiles struck Ukraine’s two largest cities, Kyiv and Kharkiv, over the weekend, damaging residential buildings and a maternity hospital, according to local officials. Residents described shattered windows and uncertainty over where to spend the night as emergency crews responded to the attacks. The strikes came as US-brokered peace talks in Abu Dhabi entered a second day, after rare face-to-face meetings between Ukrainian and Russian officials ended Saturday without a deal. Both sides said they remain open to future dialogue.
