The Africa Taiwanese Chambers of Commerce Youth League (ATCCYL) hosted a Padel tournament on March 27 at the 3SIX5 Padel Club in Bloemfontein, South Africa. The event attracted over 40 ATCCYL members and local compatriot community members, fostering friendship and engagement while highlighting the vitality and cohesion of the younger generation. Ching-Jung Lo, Director of the Economic Division at the Taipei Liaison Office in the Republic of South Africa, attended the event alongside OCAC Secretary Bill Lee, Immigration Attaché Benson Yang, Legal Attaché Tim Chiu, and Economic Secretary Speed Liu.
ATCCYL President Tony Chang said he was pleased to bring people together through sport and encourage greater participation among young members of the overseas compatriot community. He noted that the ATCCYL had previously organized charitable and community service activities in Cape Town, and expressed hope that the combination of public charity and sports would foster strong community engagement and inspire Taiwanese youth in Africa to make further contributions to society.
The event attracted a significant number of female participants, reflecting the inclusive and welcoming atmosphere of the sport. In his remarks, President Tony Chang noted that women's participation in sports not only showcases the vitality and achievements of Taiwanese women, but also demonstrates gender equality in action. He also highlighted the importance of promoting gender equality and preventing gender-based violence, stressing that sporting events can provide valuable opportunities to advance these values and foster a respectful and friendly environment for all participants.

Participants likewise praised the experience, noting that the event not only promoted physical fitness but also fostered friendships and community ties. The ATCCYL stated that it will continue organizing similar activities in the future to further bring together overseas compatriot youth and bring positive energy to the community.
