The 2016 Café Business Training Course hosted by Overseas Community Affairs Council (OCAC), aimed at helping overseas Compatriots entrepreneurs in acquiring necessary knowhow and skills in running a successful café, in a bid to boost their entrepreneurial prospects, operation capabilities, and business opportunities. During the course, a lineup of veteran coaches from the industry and academia mentored trainees on basic knowhow, professional barista skills, and designing menus featuring popular finger food. The trainees also visited noted café around Taiwan. The course was held at Shih Chien University between June 13 and 24, and attended by 54 trainees from 20 countries across the six continents.
