To reward the volunteer firefighters of Hsinchu City for their achievement in winning second place in the national volunteer firefighter skills competition, the Hsinchu City Fire Bureau, as per tradition, is rewarding the volunteer firefighters with a trip abroad to Vietnam for a visit. The Fire Bureau stated that this visit is a reward for the volunteer firefighters’ hard work and dedication, and the mayor has been invited by the Fire Bureau to join them at the location of the visit to encourage the firefighters, showing the city’s appreciation for their volunteer partners.
 
Mayor Kao pointed out that the volunteer partners have always been working together with the firefighters to ensure the safety of the citizens. They have made silent contributions and efforts, and their presence is felt in many rescue missions. They are the unsung heroes of the city. Winning second place in the national volunteer firefighter skills competition is a source of pride for the city government. She has accepted the invitation from the Fire Bureau and the volunteer firefighters to visit Vietnam. In addition, during this trip, she has also arranged to meet with Taiwanese business people. It is estimated that there will be more than 30 Taiwanese business people attending the meeting, hoping to attract investment to Hsinchu City.
 
The Fire Bureau pointed out that the national volunteer firefighter skills exchange event is held every two years. Last year, the volunteer firefighters of Hsinchu City achieved second place nationally. Their hard work and sacrifice achieve excellent results for Hsinchu City and are worth rewarding.
