The Austrian Taiwan Chamber of Commerce-Junior Chapter (ATCC-JC) held its "2026 Annual General Meeting and New Year Gathering" at the Oma Küche restaurant in Vienna, under the theme "Roots & Wings—Rooted in Austria, Connecting to the World." The event attracted over 50 new and returning members, as well as young professionals. Ambassador Liu Suan-yung, Representative of Taiwan in Austria, attended in person, along with several staff members from the Taipei Cultural and Economic Office (TECO), engaging with young participants and demonstrating strong support for Taiwanese pursuing their careers and lives in Austria.
Advisory President Huang Teng-Pao introduced the development of ATCC-JC over the years and highlighted its recent achievements. He also shared how the Youth Chapter has organized a wide range of activities—including networking dinners, seminars, lectures, sports events, and cultural exchanges—to gradually build a platform for youth engagement and mutual support. Members are also encouraged to participate in events organized by World and European Chambers of Commerce Junior Chapters, in order to connect with international, cross-industry networks and broaden their perspectives. Such engagement provides valuable access to resources and programs offered by the Taiwanese government and the Overseas Community Affairs Council (OCAC) for young overseas compatriots.
During the presidential election, Mei Ju Chiang was elected with unanimous support. Drawing on her personal experience of studying and launching her own business in Austria, she introduced the "Roots & Wings" vision, aiming to position ATCC-JC as a platform that engages both first-generation Taiwanese and the second-generation who have grown up in Austria. Through international exchange, career sharing and collaborative networking, ATCC-JC seeks to support its members in building strong roots in Austria while expanding connections across Europe and beyond, thereby creating broader opportunities.
ATCC-JC Vice President Chia Ling Ho and member Hsu-Tsun Hsueh shared their career development and entrepreneurial journeys. The event also featured a Networking Bingo activity to encourage interaction among participants.
Ambassador Liu Suan-yung recognized ATCC-JC's achievement in bringing together the youth professional community and affirmed the directions outlined by the newly elected president. He also encouraged ATCC-JC members to maintain close contact with TECO, which remains committed to providing support and resources within its capacity.
