Cross-strait maritime confrontations have continued to escalate around Taiwan's Kinmen Islands after two Chinese fishers drowned last week when their boat capsized while being pursued by a Taiwan coast guard vessel. To mark International Mother Tongue Day, activists in Taipei have held a rally on bicycles in support of the Tibetan language, which is being suppressed in China. And Taipei's National Museum of History has reopened after several years of renovation.
