Private universities in Taiwan are struggling and closing many of their courses as the country's low birth rate means there simply aren't enough students signing up. Taiwan's unemployment stood at 3.48% for 2023, the lowest level in two decades. And, a strong cold front that’s brought low temperatures to Taiwan and rare snow in the environs of Taipei may be linked to an uptick in heart attacks. Also:
