Federal Republic of Nigeria is located in West Africa with a coast on the Gulf of Guinea and the Atlantic Ocean. Neighboring countries include Chad, Cameroon, Benin and Niger, and has a population of approximately 200 million that is the most populous country in Africa.
Nigeria is also a member of Economic Community of West African States（ECOWAS）among 15 member countries, There are approximately from 50 to 60 Taiwanese companies and most of them are sort of traditional industry.
Not like Nigeria, Taiwanese businessmen in other west African countries have different as-pect of business. Ghana, for example, people there mainly focus on fishery, plastic, paint industries and international trade. In addition, Taiwanese expatriates in Ivory Coast(Cote d'Ivoire) have been already having 2 or 3 generations whose first generation came with the Taiwan Technical Mission and settled down since then after mission accomplished, these team members and their families are still keeping good relationship with not only the gov-ernment of Ivory Coast, but also Guinea, Sierra Leone and Burkina Faso, etc.
