Brisbane is the capital of Queensland, Australia, with a population of approximately 2.9 million people, making it the third-largest city in Australia. It is one of the fastest-growing cities in the country. Brisbane has a subtropical climate, with pleasant weather and an average annual temperature ranging between 15 to 25 degrees Celsius, similar to Taiwan. There are about 50,000 Taiwanese immigrant in Australia, mainly concentrated in major cities such as Brisbane, the Gold Coast and Cairns, with populations ranging from 20,000 to 30,000. Darwin, the capital of the Northern Territory, has a population of around 170,000. The Taiwanese community in northern Australia primarily consists of young people on working holiday visas and those that settled down with their newfound family.
