To express gratitude for the support and participation of its members and the overseas Taiwanese community over the past year, the Taiwanese Junior Chamber of Commerce of Georgia (TJCCGA) held a year-end appreciation banquet on December 22, 2024. The nearly 80 members and guests who joined the event created a warm and lively atmosphere. Director-General Elliot Wang of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Atlanta presented gifts to extend his congratulations. The event was also attended by Economic Division Director Martin Chen, Culture Center Director Hung-Wei Ou, OCAC Commissioners Fu-Tai Lu and Sung-Hsuan Chang, OCAC Senior Advisors John Lu and Hsiang-Jui Wang, as well as key representatives from local Taiwanese organizations.
TJCCGA President Wei-Li Teng first expressed gratitude to all the esteemed guests for their support to the Association since its re-establishment in August 2024, as well as to the efforts of the members. She emphasized that these valuable experiences and guidance have propelled the continuous growth of TJCCGA. She further stated that the Association hopes to provide support for young professionals at different stages of their lives. The Association plans to launch a series of "Lunch and Learn", with the slogan "Survive and Thrive – Master the Skills of Survival and Pursue a Thriving Life." The aim is to help members learn new skills and knowledge, expand their networks, and become better versions of themselves. The first event will be held on February 8, 2025, themed around a tea and cocktail networking event, which will combine Taiwanese tea culture with the art of mixology, showcasing the infinite possibilities of tea and cocktails while promoting Taiwanese tea culture.
President Teng also encouraged members to apply for the OCAC i Compatriot Card for more OCAC benefits and services. Director Ou said he was very pleased to witness the rapid growth of the Junior Chamber and shared high expectations for its future development. He emphasized the importance of unity within the overseas community and generational succession, encouraging TJCCGA members to actively participate in community events. By doing so, they can help the younger generation integrate into the local community, expand their influence, connect with Taiwan, and enhance Taiwan's visibility and recognition in the mainstream society.
Each participating guest prepared a signature dish to share. TJCCGA also collaborated with local restaurants, with Sushi Ming providing delicious dishes and Nan-Fang Vegetable Wholesale Company contributed fresh fruits. This gathering was not only a celebration of past efforts but also laid the foundation for future collaboration and friendship.
