FASCA Princeton kicked off the new season with a lively summer barbecue at Donaldson Park in Highland Park, New Jersey. More than 110 FASCA members, mentor teachers, families, and friends came together for a day of food, games, and fun. The event was one of the chapter's first big in-person gatherings of the year, giving everyone a chance to reconnect and welcome new members. Laughter filled the park as volunteers grilled food, set up tents, and shared the smell of freshly cooked barbecue.
Throughout the afternoon, FASCA members joined group games, icebreakers, and dance practice. The activities helped break the ice and build new friendships. Lunch featured Taiwanese-style dishes like popcorn chicken, noodles, and rice balls, enjoyed under the warm summer sun. Later, students played Ultimate Frisbee, badminton, and volleyball, keeping the energy high and the teamwork strong.
Even when rain ended the event early, members worked together to clean up, showing teamwork and resilience. The barbecue ended on a high note, celebrating friendship, leadership, and pride in Taiwanese culture.
