The main work of the Overseas Community Affairs Council (OCAC) is to serve as a cultural, educational, economic and informational exchange organization between R.O.C.(TAIWAN) and the overseas communities. To strengthen service and connection with the overseas communi-ties and individuals in the Surabaya region of Indonesia, and to constantly provide various overseas information, OCAC has assigned an overseas Secretary to the Taipei Economic and Trade Office (TETO) in Surabaya. This secretary is responsible for overseas affairs in the Sura-baya area.
Given the popularity of the internet and its borderless capabilities, it has been widely used as the main conduit for information transmission. OCAC utilizes information technology and devel-op platforms for promoting, providing and serving overseas communities with various support of culture, education, business, trading, student guidance, and certification services.
