Central Taiwan's scenic Jiji Line has resumed full operation nearly five years after a landslide buried tunnels and halted service. The closure of the century-old branch line connecting Changhua and Nantou counties had seen tourist numbers fall by around 80 percent. With repairs complete and tracks upgraded, the line is expected to generate an estimated US$60 million a year for the region.
