On June 13, Albany FASCA members volunteered for the first time at the 4th Annual Ronald McDonald House Albany 5K Family Fun Run. This signature event serves as a crucial fundraiser to support families of children undergoing long-term medical treatments. Braving the hot and sunny weather, the FASCA youth volunteers worked in two dedicated shifts. The first shift took positions across the racecourse as course marshals, directing participants and shouting words of encouragement, while the second shift took on the heavy lifting of teardown, tent disassembly, and venue restoration. FASCA Counselor Mrs. Tseng noted that knowing their hard work directly supported families in medical need made this service deeply meaningful. Event organizers were thoroughly impressed by the responsibility and efficiency demonstrated by the FASCA students, who successfully stepped beyond the classroom to strengthen ties with the mainstream American community.
FASCA Albany members proudly gather to support local charity and enhance mainstream visibility.
