On August 28, the Indonesia Taiwanese Chambers of Commerce Junior Chapter (ITCCJC) and Ikatan Citra Alumni Taiwan se-Indonesia (ICATI) Jakarta jointly organized a company visit and networking dinner for their members. Representing the Taipei Economic and Trade Office in Jakarta, Director Kai-Chuan Yu of the Expatriate Division and Secretary Tina Lai were invited to attend. The group visited two companies, Edu Farmers Foundation and Rocketindo, gaining first-hand insights into their operations and development while promoting business exchange.
Director Kai-Chuan Yu said that the OCAC has always attached great importance to the development of young compatriot entrepreneurs. The Expatriate Division will continue to attend to the needs of young Taiwanese business members in Indonesia and support various exchange activities. Director Yu also provided information on the services offered by the Overseas Credit Guarantee Fund (TAIWAN) and encouraged the Junior Chapter to organize informational sessions with the Fund to support the business development of young entrepreneurs.
ITCCJC President Marten responded that the junior chapter would continue to recruit more young entrepreneurs, strengthen exchanges between young people in Taiwan and Indonesia, and organize more high-quality activities.
The first stop was Edu Farmers Foundation, which focuses on agricultural development and farmer training in Indonesia. Through agricultural technology, talent development, and related programs, the foundation seeks to improve agricultural productivity and support farmers' development. A Q&A session was also arranged, during which participants actively raised questions about the organization’s operations, models of cooperation, and agricultural development in Indonesia. The lively exchange helped deepen participants’ understanding of Indonesia’s agricultural sector and related industries.
The second stop was Rocketindo. Daniel Liu, head of the company, also serves as Honorary President of the Junior Chapter. Rocketindo specializes in e-commerce and digital marketing, helping domestic and international brands expand into the Indonesian market. Liu said that the entrepreneurial journey had been challenging, but he had received support from many people along the way and gradually built the business into what it is today. He plans to expand Rocketindo internationally and further broaden the company’s presence in the e-commerce sector.
Following the company visits, the Junior Chapter hosted a networking dinner for participants to continue the discussions and exchanges while fostering professional connections and potential partnerships. The event brought together participants from diverse industries and backgrounds, providing opportunities for future cooperation and business exchanges.
