The Thai-Taiwan Business Association Youth League (TTBAY) organized its seventh general assembly on Saturday, May 16th, at Jarinthip Restaurant in Bangkok. Leaders and members from various youth chapters gathered for this lively cultural exchange, where Taiwanese youths living across different Asian countries connected and engaged with one another.
Distinguished overseas guests included Honorary President of the World Taiwanese Chambers of Commerce Junior Chapter (WTCCJC), Mr. Hung-Yi Lee; Honorary President of the Asia Taiwanese Chambers of Commerce Junior Chapter, Mr. Chao-Hsiung Chang; Mr. Yang-Yi Lin (also President of the Vietnamese Youth Chamber of Commerce); and Secretary-General Yi-Cheng Lin. Representatives from various Taiwanese youth chambers of commerce in attendance included: President Chung-Wei Lai from Indonesia, President Yi-Chun Lin from Japan, President Ting-Chieh Chen from Singapore, and Secretary-General Chia-Wen Tsai from Malaysia. Local compatriot leaders in Thailand who attended included: Honorary President for Life of the Thai-Taiwan Business Association, Mr. Hsio-Min Kuo; Vice Presidents Chun-Chen Chen and Yu-Hsin Lin; Honorary President of the Thonburi Taiwanese Chamber of Commerce, Mr. Chun-Hung Lai; President Meng-Yen Lee; and President Yi-Chin Yu of the Banglamung Taiwanese Chamber of Commerce.
Deputy Representative Sy-Chi Dong of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Thailand and Director of the Overseas Community Affairs Division Shih-Jung Hsu attended the event, offering strong support and high praise for the Taiwanese youth. In his remarks, Deputy Representative Dong commended the Youth League for hosting a diverse array of exchange activities under the leadership of President Jia-Wei Hsu, as well as for its active involvement in charitable initiatives—showcasing the warmth and dedication of the younger generation to the local community. He also congratulated incoming president Chi-Shuo Huang and expressed his hope that the new team will continue to strengthen the organization, deepen local engagement, and elevate Taiwan's visibility in Thailand and across the ASEAN region.
In his speech, President Jia-Wei Hsu of the TTBAY humbly thanked the past presidents for their support and the team for their dedication, which has made every TTBAY event truly memorable. Secretary-General Chun-Kang Huang delivered an impressive video presentation on the Youth League's recent developments. Mr. Hsio-Min Kuo, Honorary President for Life of the Thai-Taiwan Business Association and a long-term supporter of the Youth League's initiatives, attended the evening event to offer his encouragement. He expressed his hope that the TTBAY would continue to thrive with energy and innovation, allowing the world to see the strength and spirit of Taiwan.
The general assembly featured 11 banquet tables, bringing together over 100 young Taiwanese entrepreneurs from Thailand and around the world. Attendees shared insights on business trends and political-economic developments across various countries. The platform of the Asia Taiwanese Chambers of Commerce Junior Chapter continues to strengthen the bonds among Taiwanese youth entrepreneurs globally. With the efforts of these young leaders, Taiwan's warmth and passion will continue to shine across the globe.
