Elina Lin: Discovering a Stage Through Passion, Uniting the Team Through Dance and Companionship
Elina Lin joined FASCA in the tenth grade with a tentative mindset. Encouraged by her mentors, the once-shy teenager shared her love for dance, unexpectedly unlocking her own stage. She grew from an ordinary member into a dance lead who guided peers through choreography and performances for National Day galas, transforming her personal interest into a unifying force for the team. Now a university student, she serves as a Senior FASCA, channeling the confidence and recognition she gained into a warm, supportive presence that accompanies younger members in their growth.

Yuan-Heng Chen: Expanding Horizons Through Cross-Regional Training, Bringing Taiwanese Culture into the Mainstream
Joining FASCA with mixed feelings of anticipation and nervousness, Yuan-Heng Chen unlocked a broader perspective after traveling to San Francisco for Senior FASCA training. Engaging with peers across cities, he honed his leadership and event planning skills, realizing that "a good leader is, above all, an excellent collaborator." He brought this mindset back to Vancouver to support new members. Driven by this sense of mission, as a candidate for the OCAC International Youth Goodwill Ambassador, he rallied his Senior FASCA peers to launch the "Taiwanese Taste Here" project, actively promoting Taiwanese cuisine and cultural charm at major Canadian mainstream community events.

Yu-Ting Wu: Moving Beyond Volunteer Hours to Passionate Service, Integrating the Joy of Giving into Life
Initially joining FASCA simply to fulfill high school graduation volunteer hour requirements, Yu-Ting Wu completely transformed his perspective on community service after participating in the Taiwanese Canadian Cultural Festival and various community events. Accumulating over 100 service hours with FASCA across three years, he came to deeply appreciate that "giving" not only helps others but also brings genuine fulfillment and lifelong friendships. Even after entering university, he remains proactively dedicated to service, evolving from a student fulfilling a requirement into a youth who truly finds joy in giving back to society.

Dalan Liao: Stepping Out of the Comfort Zone of Shyness, Tempered in Leadership Within a Second Home
Describing his past self as extremely shy and fearful of public speaking or talking to strangers, Dalan Liao gradually broke through his inner barriers by capturing video footage and providing event support at Lunar New Year celebrations and Double Tenth galas. Becoming a Senior FASCA marked a major turning point in his character development, pushing him out of his comfort zone to serve as a bridge of communication between younger members and advisors. Through this, he realized that "leadership isn't just about standing at the front, but being willing to support others and take initiative when needed." Within the welcoming environment of FASCA—a place he regards as his second home—he not only built pride in his Taiwanese heritage but also transformed into a confident, courageous young leader.
