On January 10, the FASCA Charlotte Chapter held its inaugural establishment ceremony, joined by Director Yen of the Culture Center of TECO in Atlanta. The chapter's independent operation follows over six months of preparation by Culture Center teacher Chuang, local parents, and community leaders, aimed at providing a dedicated training environment for youth in the Charlotte area.
During the event, Chuang expressed gratitude to the OCAC, local community, and the FASCA Raleigh Chapter for their resources and mentorship. Director Yen pledged continued support, emphasizing the Culture Center's commitment to providing resources for the members' growth in leadership and service.
FASCA members and parents shared testimonials regarding the launch's positive impact on self-identity and public spirit. Since 2021, Charlotte families have demonstrated remarkable dedication by making six-hour round trips to Raleigh for training; the establishment of this local chapter now honors that commitment. Guests praised the platform for fostering cultural heritage and teamwork, helping members deepen their connection to Taiwan while learning to give back to a multicultural society.
