The FASCA Toronto Chapter hosted an "Artist Talk" on February 1, featuring Malaysian-Canadian singer-songwriter Eunice Keitan. The event drew nearly 30 members for an afternoon focused on multicultural identity, songwriting, and community service. Director Lan of the Toronto Culture Center welcomed Keitan, encouraging members to draw inspiration from her unique creative journey, which blends Soul music with Asian heritage.
During the Talk, Keitan shared her musical evolution through live improvisation and personal storytelling, urging members to embrace their diverse backgrounds with the reminder that "there is no single way to define yourself." Participants engaged in a collaborative songwriting session, brainstorming lyrics and harmonies to produce an original piece dedicated to the chapter.
The meeting concluded with a briefing on upcoming volunteer opportunities for the 2026 LunarFest, Willowdale Lunar New Year Fest, and local school celebrations. Mentors encouraged members to apply their leadership and cultural knowledge through these festive service roles.
