On February 7, the City of Santa Ana held its 2026 Lunar New Year Festival at Centennial Park, attracting nearly 5,000 residents. For the third consecutive year, FASCA-OC was invited by the city to host a cultural booth. Supported by OCAC advisers and mentors, 24 youth members organized an immersive experience to share authentic Taiwanese traditions with the diverse local community.
The booth featured "Year of the Horse" decorations and a variety of interactive activities, including traditional riddles, paper-cutting, and shuttlecock kicking (Jianzi, 毽子) tutorials. Members also promoted Taiwanese tourism and provided community service resources for seniors. A highlight of the exhibit was a "learn-and-earn" activity where visitors who mastered traditional games received hand-folded horse lanterns provided by the Orange County Culture Center.
The festival concluded with cultural performances and a fireworks display. By integrating creative outreach with hands-on education, the FASCA-OC members successfully deepened local appreciation for Taiwan's heritage and strengthened community ties in Santa Ana.
