The Brazil-Taiwan Chamber of Commerce Junior Chapter (BTCCJC), together with the Brazil-Taiwan Youth Association and under the guidance of the Cultural Center of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office (TECO) in São Paulo, organized a youth educational visit on June 7th. Participants toured the international school run by BTCCJC President Yu-Yu Chien. Nearly 30 youth participants, overseas school principals, teachers, and parents joined the event with enthusiasm. Director Cheng-Tsai Yu of the Cultural Center of TECO in São Paulo and Secretary-General Chung-Jung Liu of the Taiwanese Chamber of Commerce in Latin America (TCCLA) were also present.
BTCCJC President Chien personally led the tour group, introducing the school's modern facilities and high-quality learning environment—a reflection of his deep commitment to educational excellence and thoughtful planning. Following the tour, the organizers hosted a generous lunch to warmly welcome the guests and participants.
The post-lunch discussion session was lively and engaging. Fen-Yi Chen, Chairman of the Brazil-Taiwan Youth Association, expressed his gratitude to everyone for taking the time to attend and gave special thanks to President Chien and his team for their thoughtful arrangements and warm hospitality. He noted that the visit gave young participants valuable insights into real-world experiences in education and entrepreneurship, inspiring their potential and future aspirations.
Director Cheng-Tsai Yu remarked, "It takes ten years to grow a tree, but a hundred years to cultivate a person. Education is a long-term commitment." He emphasized that the event was designed to spark youth interest in entrepreneurship and education. He also praised President Chien and his wife for their passion and dedication, acknowledging that managing an educational institution is no easy task.
TCCLA Secretary-General Chung-Jung Liu encouraged young people to actively engage in Junior Chapter activities to broaden their horizons and expand their professional networks, benefiting their future careers. Yu-Yu Chien's first Chinese teacher, Yu-Feng Chen, also attended the event to show her support and expressed her pride in Chien's entrepreneurial achievements.
President Chien shared his entrepreneurial journey across various industries, including sports and food and beverage, before transitioning into education and running a school. He noted that the biggest challenge lies in managing people. He emphasized the importance of understanding individual strengths, leveraging talents, and delegating responsibilities in areas where one may lack expertise. He also stressed the need to address problems promptly to prevent further escalation. His wife, Dora Yang, also shared her hands-on experience in school administration and management, discussing ways to tackle challenges and implement solutions, which sparked questions and interaction from the youth participants. To conclude the event, the Youth Association presented a commemorative gift to President Chien to thank him for his warm hospitality and valuable insights, bringing the educational visit to a successful ending.
