In a spectacular display of "culinary diplomacy," ten members form FASCA Albany , New York, and Princeton chapters collaborated with the international reality show Have a Seat (請世界吃桌) to film a Ban-do/Pàn-tó (辦桌, Traditional Taiwanese Wedding Banquet) in the heart of Times Square. Guided by counselor Tina, these second-generation Taiwanese American youth—ranging from ages 15 to 23—underwent intensive training to master the symbolism of banquet cuisine and the "Six Rites"(六禮) of traditional weddings. On-site, the members managed everything from seating logistics to cultural storytelling, explaining the deep-seated values of unity and prosperity to curious global tourists and distinguished guests, including Director-General Lee of TECO. By transforming one of the world's most iconic urban landmarks into an immersive cultural setting, these FASCA members successfully bridged heritage and modern media, demonstrating the vital role of youth in elevating Taiwanese traditions onto the global stage.
