📢 Attention Overseas Compatriot Students and OCAC Recommendation Units | Let's Work Together to Ensure Fair Admissions

To uphold the fairness, transparency, and integrity of the Overseas Compatriot Student admissions system, we kindly remind all students applying for the Overseas Community Affairs Council (OCAC) 3+4 Vocational Education Program for Overseas Compatriot Students, 4-Year OYVTP Bachelor's Program, and other OCAC admissions programs, as well as all OCAC Recommendation Units, to strictly comply with the relevant admission regulations and safeguard every student's right to fair access to higher education in Taiwan.

🔹 OCAC Recommendation Units Must Process Applications Fairly
Recommendation Units shall process applications in accordance with the Guidelines for OCAC Recommendation Units and the relevant admission brochures. All eligible applicants must be treated fairly. Recommendation Units must not favor specific universities or applicant groups and should properly verify applicants' identity, academic qualifications, and supporting documents.

🔹 Cross-Regional Recommendations Are Strictly Prohibited
Recommendation Units may only accept applications from students within their designated service areas. Any cross-regional recommendation is prohibited and will be handled in accordance with OCAC regulations.

🔹 No Recruitment Agencies or Intermediaries
Recommendation Units must not cooperate with or involve any recruitment agencies or intermediaries in the admissions process. If you become aware of any suspected illegal recruitment or improper admission practices, please report them immediately to Culture Center of T.E.C.O. in the Philippines (manila@ocac.gov.tw) .

🔹 No Unauthorized Fees
According to the OCAC admission regulations:
✅ Recommendation Units may charge students only for postage and communication expenses, with a maximum of US$20 (or the equivalent in local currency) per applicant. Any remaining balance shall be remitted by the R.O.C. (Taiwan) overseas mission in accordance with the regulations.
✅ Recommendation Units are strictly prohibited from collecting any unauthorized fees from applicants or from Taiwanese universities administering these programs.

⚠️ A Reminder to All Applicants
Please be alert if you encounter any of the following situations:
❌ You are asked to pay fees not specified in the admission brochure.
❌ You are told that you may apply only to a particular school.
❌ You are asked to apply through a recruitment agency or intermediary.
❌ You suspect unfair or improper practices during the recommendation process.
