The Taiwanese Business Association of New Zealand (TBANZ) and Taiwanese Junior Business Association New Zealand (TJBANZ) held the General Assembly and Handover Ceremony on March 31. The president of Taiwanese Chambers of Commerce in Oceania (TCCO) and other overseas honorary employees, the responsible persons of the main overseas compatriot groups, and members of TBANZ and TJBANZ were in attendance, participants numbering more than 150 people.
Dr. Chung-Hsing Chou, Director General of TECO praised TBANZ and TJBANZ for their outstanding performance in terms of holding events to serve Taiwanese business people and supporting the government and TECO, not only raising the profile of Taiwan, also allowing TBANZ members to expand their business.
TJBANZ (also known as Taiwanese Young Professionals in New Zealand, TYPINZ) was established in 2007. On this platform, young Taiwanese professionals have shared their expertise from the start and have shown the excellence of young Taiwanese. New TJBANZ President Samantha Lu thanked all those in the older generations for giving young people a chance to learn over the last 10 years and pledged to carry on the spirit of young entrepreneurs and the spirit of all past presidents, continuing to encourage young Taiwanese in New Zealand to display their professionalism and to engage in exchange with other members.
