Northern Vietnam was hit by heavy flooding that left many people dead and missing and inundating a large number of houses. The Council Of Taiwanese Chambers in Vietnam Junior Chapter(CTCVNJC) cooperated with the Council of Taiwanese Chambers of Commerce in Vietnam, Ha Tinh Branch, heading for Huyện Thạch Hà, Tinh Ha Tinh Province, two locations Tỉnh Quảng Ninh and Huyện Lệ Thủy in Tỉnh Quảng Bình Province November 4-6 to engage in relief work to show the care and love of Taiwanese people.

For this activity, CTCVNJC Chief Edison Li, Chief Supervisor Sam Chen and Secretary General Carrie Lin led the charity team to the disaster affected area, providing 720 sets of materials such as dry foods, cooking oil, flavorings, water and rainwear (worth VND 400 million, or NT$500,000). Council of Taiwanese Chambers of Commerce in Vietnam, Tinh Ha Tinh Branch Chief, Chang Wei-lin mobilized personnel and vehicles in full support; this mission of compassion was a joint-effort.
Edison Li said that many disadvantaged Vietnamese families were affected by the floods. Guided by the spirit of "Taiwan Can Help", the members of CTCVNJC contributed their power to help the relief effort in the hope that they set an example and then, in future, more people will extend a helping hand to help the affected families get through their difficulties. The receiving units were sincerely grateful for this expression of the spirit of "treating others as ourselves"of the members of CTCVNJC.

Guided by the idea of "taking from society, giving back to society" Taiwanese business people in Vietnam integrate the resources of Taiwanese enterprises and, together with local government and charity units, take care of disadvantaged groups and poor families, cultivating people to people relations and improving the image of Taiwanese business people overall. In the growth process of second generation Taiwanese business people, they developed strong affection for both Taiwan and Vietnam. Young Taiwanese business people leading charity events to give back to Vietnamese society is more able to bring together the enthusiasm and power of kindhearted people and social groups and convey them to those in need. The efforts not only help improve the lives of local poor families, they also build a bridge of friendship between the people of Taiwan and Vietnam.
