The closing ceremony of the 4th Batch of "OCAC 2023 Overseas Compatriot Youth Experience Program " was held on the afternoon of October 17th with the wonderful dance of program participants as the welcome performance. The distinguished guests in attendance included deputy director general of Department of Compatriot Student Affairs of the Overseas Community Affairs Council Yi-Ju Wang, director of the Recreation Activities of the China Youth Corps Zong-Zhi Pan, and director-general of the Jiantan Overseas Youth Activity Center Lang-xian Lai. Over a span of two weeks, members shared their feedback of 14-day experience in Taiwan with each other. On behalf of OCAC, the deputy director general of Department of Overseas Compatriot Student Affairs Yi-Ju Wang awarded cash prizes to the winners of the social media post contest and the completion albums to all participants.

Yi-Ju Wang said that this was the 4th batch of the Taiwan Experience Program this year, and it was a complete success. She was so moved by the 14-day review video of the program. One of the features of the Taiwan Experience Program is the trial courses in senior high schools and universities, students can have the opportunity to come to Taiwan early to experience school life and consider studying in Taiwan in the future. Taiwan is well prepared for accepting overseas students, and youth friends are welcome to study in Taiwan.

The 14-day Taiwan Experience Program was available from October 5th to 18th. The participants got a deeper understanding of Taiwanese culture through visits to political and economic construction, industry and campus, youth opinion exchanges, humanities education exploration, multicultural experience, ecological environment exploration, local life exploration and group activities.

Kamontip, one of the participants, said that she learned a lot and made a lot of friends in the program. She experienced one-day the Taipei MRT tour. She went to many places and bought a lot of things. The MRT is really convenient. She hopes to have the opportunity to visit Taiwan in the future. Pannawit, one of the participants, said that he visited many famous tourist spots in Taiwan during the 14-day trip. Sun Moon Lake was his favorite because the scenery there was really beautiful. He also visited four schools and learned a lot. He enjoyed Taiwanese food and really fell in love with Taiwan.

The 14-day program came to an end in a heartwarming and touching atmosphere. The participants also encouraged each other and looked forward to participating in such a meaningful program next time.
