With the aims of encouraging universities, research institutes and groups in Taiwan to engage in research related to overseas compatriot affairs and increasing the level of such research projects, the Overseas Community Affairs Council (OCAC) has promulgated guidelines for the grants for academic research projects on the topic of overseas compatriot affairs.
Any research projects on the topic of overseas compatriot affairs , such as policy study, education, economy, student affairs, overseas community situations, or competent agencies in charge of overseas compatriot affairs and respective policies in various countries, are eligible for application for a grant from the OCAC. Applications that are approved will receive a grant up to NT$200,000.
