From 2020 to 2022, the overseas visits were suspended due to the Corona Virus Disease 2019 (COVID-19). Luckily, we were able to resume the program in 2023. In total, we have selected 64 Taiwanese students from domestic universities to participate in a seven-day trip during the summer period. These visits took place in four locations: Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, Houston, and Los Angeles.

The program is organized to strengthen the ties and exchanges between Taiwanese youths and the overseas compatriot community. Starting from 2023, a new program component has been introduced, wherein the student representatives take on the role of introducing Taiwan to the overseas compatriot communities and assisting host communities in gaining a deeper understanding of Taiwan. The overarching objective is to provide Taiwanese youth with a more comprehensive understanding of the efforts undertaken by the OCAC, broaden their global perspectives, and foster connections within the overseas compatriot community. This empowers them to truly embody the role of "Youth Ambassadors of Overseas Compatriot Affairs" in a more effective way.
