The 31st Annual Convention of North America Taiwanese Women's Association (NATWA) had been held at the Sheraton Detroit Airport Hotel from April 18 to 21 in Michigan. The Minister without Portfolio Tang Feng and the Deputy Secretary General Su Jiaqing of Democratic Progressive Party were invited to give speech in the conference.

The conference had held "NATWA Night" on the 20th, 250 representatives, including Tang Feng, Su Jiaqing, Commissioner of Overseas Community Affairs Council, Senator Zhang Li and Minister Wu attended the party. Minister Wu on behalf of the government thanked the NATWA for their long-term concern and support for Taiwan.
