2018 Taiwan Medical Industry Investment Program for Overseas Compatriot Entrepreneurs

In support of the government’s policy of encouraging investment in Taiwan and the 5+2 Innovative Industries Program, the Overseas Community Affairs Council (OCAC) held the Taiwan Medical Industry Investment Program for Overseas Compatriot Entrepreneurs November 26-30. 22 overseas compatriot entrepreneurs with investment capability and interest in cooperating with or investing in Taiwan’s medical industry took part. Program participants visited the Ministry of Health and Welfare, made on-site visits to seven domestic companies that are interested in overseas cooperation, Hsinchu Biomedical Science Park Innovation Center and two medical institutions, as well as attending the Taiwan Healthcare+ Expo. A business opportunity matching meeting was also arranged at which participants engaged in business opportunity exchange with representatives of 17 related companies, building a platform for exchange between overseas compatriot entrepreneurs and the domestic medical industry, promoting business opportunity exchange and cooperation between Program participants and the domestic medical industry and assisting the Taiwan medical industry expand internationally.
