Minister Chen-Yuan Tung returned to Taiwan from Thailand on June 1st. During his home quarantine, he kept convening multiple video conferences to strive to set the strategic goal of the overseas community affairs. He held the first overseas community affairs working conference on June 3rd. Through this meeting, Minister Tung explained to the colleagues the work structure in the future. He said that in the future he will personally host a video conference every year to communicate with colleagues around the world and confirm the overall strategic goals and work directions.

In addition, the promotion of digitization of overseas community affairs is the key point goal. Minister Tung requires all colleagues to be oriented to the needs of overseas compatriots. Make sure that overseas compatriots can contact us at any time, and complete the digital platform for global overseas community service as soon as possible. Minister Tung hopes that all the overseas colleagues should strive to expand the service targets to the second and third generations of the overseas compatriots, understand their needs, and make innovative breakthroughs, not sticking to the rules.
