The global outbreak of COVID-19 has led to border control, home quarantining, and travel restrictions in many countries. For the safety of overseas volunteers and domestic schoolchildren, the OCAC, the Ministry of Education, the Hakka Affairs Council, and the Council of Indigenous Peoples reevaluated the activity of "2020 Teaching English Volunteer Service in Taiwan" and decided that online teaching would take the place of the original plan, with volunteers limited to those from Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago, and Houston. Volunteers from other regions are welcome to apply next year. Further notice shall be announced later.
