The Filipino Chinese Cultural and Economic Association visited the Overseas Community Affairs Council on May 8, 2019. Chief Secretary Zhang met with the association. He said that it cannot be forgotten that the investment of Filipino Chinese capital in Taiwan in the early years. They set up light industries such as hotels and garment factories for the economic development of Taiwan.
The head of the association said that the association has always supported overseas community affairs, such as the Taiwanese Culture Festival, the poster competition, the parent-child painting competition, calligraphy and composition competitions, and actively promoted traditional culture. He hopes that the Filipino Chinese Cultural and Economic Association will maintain close relations with the Overseas Community Affairs Council in the future and jointly provide service for overseas compatriots in Philippine.
