Taipei, Jan. 12 (CNA) Super diva Celine Dion will give two concerts in Taipei in July and ticket sales will begin on Jan. 22, according to the promoters.
Dion, a household name in the western entertainment world, will stage two concerts at Taipei Arena on July 11 and July 13, as part of her Asian tour, Kuang Hong Arts said in a press release Friday.
Tickets will go on sale Jan. 22 at prices ranging from NT$800 (US$28) to NT$13,800, the entertainment company said. Other cities on Dion's Live 2018 tour are Tokyo, Macau, Singapore, Jakarta, Bangkok and Manila.
The Canadian singer, 49, first gained global recognition in the 1980s, surging to international fame with "My Heart Will Go On," the theme song from the blockbuster movie "Titanic."
Over the past 30 years, Dion has sold more than 250 million records worldwide and won five Grammy Awards, two Oscars and seven American Music Awards. She had planned to visit Taiwan in 2014 but canceled the trip because of the poor health of her husband at the time.
