To enhance the teaching methodologies of overseas compatriot school teachers and spread Taiwan’s unique and diverse culture, the OCAC holds annual training programs for overseas compatriot school teachers around the world.
Beginning on February 11, 2019, the OCAC sent four lecturers on a teaching tour to Chiang Mai and Chiang Rei. In Chiang Mai, they lectured at Hot Water Pond Village and Otani Village, and at Chiang Rei they lectured at Qingchafang Village, Full Star Village, and Mantang Village. The courses use the OCAC-produced textbook, 《華文 - 泰國版》 as the primary instruction material. The lecturers have designed multi-faceted courses and prepared engaging teaching methods, so that the participating teachers can return to their schools with the knowledge and ability to spark their students’ desire to learn. In addition, the lecturers will spread Taiwan’s exceptional teaching concepts to Northern Thailand and enhance the teaching quality of overseas compatriot schools.
