2017 Elite Leaders of Overseas Compatriot Student Club Training Program was held from June 2nd to 4th in Taipei. 66 leaders of overseas compatriot student clubs participated in the program to learn skills of management.
The opening ceremony hosted on June 2nd was chaired by Chang Liang-min, Chief Secretary of OCAC. Chang said that OCAC regard overseas compatriot students as our family. There is a Department of Overseas Compatriot Student Counseling in OCAC which is responsible for counseling and taking care of overseas compatriot students. Chang encouraged these students to cherish the chance of studying in Taiwan and improve their professional competence. He also wished OCAC had more connections with them in the future.
This three-day program offered different kinds of courses to improve these elite students’ management abilities. OCAC Vice Minister Yuan-Rong Leu visited attendees on the graduation ceremony on the June 3rd. Leu wished the program is useful for the leaders of overseas compatriot student clubs and encouraged students to apply the skills learned from the program to reality and serve more people.
After the two-day intensive course, the attendees visited National Center for Traditional Arts and Lanyang Museum in Yilan to learn more about traditional arts and culture of Taiwan, and the history and the natural ecology of Yilan.
